As a Barista at Martha’s your role is to ensure Martha’s signature drinks are prepared to our standards. Also providing courteous, friendly, efficient and attentive customer service and as well as fellow team members.

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Experience in a similar customer focused work environment is preferred
  • Ability to work well in a busy environment
  • High energy and engaging personality
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (8+ hours a day)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Food Protection Manager Certificate holder or willing to obtain certification within 60 days of      employment
  • A passion for coffee!


  • Arrive to work promptly and in full uniform on your scheduled days to work
  • Make sure customers are being taken care of and the coffee bar is clean at all times
  • Treat each customer with kindness and respect at all times
  • Ensure that product is prepared to our standards and to the customers liking
  • Ensure product quality by checking freshness
  • Be an expert in our products and be able to explain them to customers
  • Ask every customer if they would like to receive a receipt with their purchase
  • Follow our cash handling procedures when using the POS to process customer orders
  • Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices
  • Ensure that all shelves and displays are properly stocked and front-facing
  • Operate and sanitize all Bakery equipment in a safe and proper manner
  • Answer telephone calls with excellent phone etiquette and transfer the call according to appropriate department
  • Cleaning should be done at the end of your shift and when the storefront is slow
  • Maintain open communication with your supervisor and coworkers regarding any issues that may arise
  • Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor
