Astoria favorite Martha’s Country Bakery has announced the sweetest of gestures: by pledging 20,000 pieces of baked goods to healthcare workers across New York. With the help of Give Me Astoria’s Sonia Mylonas, Martha’s Country Bakery was able to make its first run on Tuesday to Mount Sinai Queens.

Due to the popularity of this stellar bakery, the eating area has expanded to include a glass-enclosed atrium which will open up to the sidewalk in warm weather. Rustic, country chic with a touch of modern is the décor, with wood beam ceilings and plank floors. Wood plank table tops and cool, modern lighting and brand new bathrooms are all beautiful and super clean.
